Rules and Etiquette

Because it is so new to our shores, few people know the rules and etiquette which are set out below.

Each party or group will require to have a named organiser with whom the club will make the necessary booking arrangements. In that regard you will find our club dress code for FootGolf (it is different for golf), the code of conduct for all players at Hilton Park G.C and the player contract for FootGolf. Also attached is the official FootGolf dress code if you wish to really look the part, and basic rules.

It is the responsibility of the organiser to understand the following information and to share/forward this information to the rest of the group. All members of the group must fully understand the dress code, code of conduct, the player contract, and basic rules of the game before you arrive for your booking.

Please download the Organiser Agreement Form. You will require to print this off, sign to confirm you have read the following, and shared this with your group. You must bring the completed form with you on the day of your booking and present it in the Pro-Shop before paying your fees.

Note: Failure to provide a completed form at this time will result in the group forfeiting the booking.

Our Club FootGolf Dress Code (Note- it is different to golf)

Our club dress code allows players to wear suitable clothing for sport outside, whilst allowing ease of movement and comfort.

Juniors must be accompanied on the course by an adult ie (1 adult for every 2 groups of four juniors)

The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to any player who is deemed to be intoxicated before play.

What to wear:

All golf attire is welcome
Collared shirt at all times- both gents and ladies (polo shirt etc)
Waterproof tops and trousers
Plain tracksuit trousers
Golf trousers and shorts
Trainers or 'Astros' (3G pitch shoes with rubber 'nubbins') or golfshoes

 What not to wear:

All football related/crested clothing- tops, shorts, tracksuits etc.
T-shirts (collarless t-shirt)
Jeans- both cotton and denim
Swimwear or short-shorts
Boots with studs, spikes or blades

What to wear in the Clubhouse:
To maintain reasonable standards in the clubhouse, tracksuits, shell-suits, football and rugby tops/shorts are not to be worn. Smart denims are allowed in the clubhouse, but not on the course. Wet rainwear should not be worn when sitting in the clubhouse, and headwear is to be removed when in the dining room, lounge and bar areas of the clubhouse.
Note: Failure to abide by the dress code will result in those players not being allowed to play on the day; there are no exceptions to this rule.

The Club Code of Conduct:

The code of conduct is there to ensure everyone can enjoy their time at Hilton Park Golf Club. We are proud of our club; it's a family friendly environment, with members from 8 to 85 years of age.

Therefore, we expect all players to conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy at all times and sportsmanship, regardless of how competitive they are.

We expect all players to:

• Demonstrate the upmost respect for all others players and staff.
• Always show respect for the course and facilities.
• Treat everyone as you'd like to be treated.

Examples of unacceptable behaviour: (but not reserved to)

• Foul language of any kind, either if it is directed at someone or not.
• Aggressive behaviour of any kind.
• Distracting other players through unnecessary noise levels on/off the course.

Note: Failure to abide by the code of conduct may result in the offending individuals sent from the premises, and in more serious cases, a ban from the club and the club contacting the proper authorities.

The Player Contract:

It is understandable that playing any sport outside has the potential for injury. Slips and trips are common-place in sport, and FootGolf is no different. Players must also be aware that wet ground conditions are possible on the golf course, and of the risk that presents.

Bad Weather:

Please follow our twitter page @hiltonparkgolf for course updates. If the course is unplayable that day we will not be hosting FootGolf, and will post a notice to that effect on the Twitter feed.
We will endeavour to make this decision as early as possible. You can also find this feed on our website:
